A Brief History

The internet, a fundamental part of modern life, has a rich and fascinating history that spans over five decades. Early Years (1960s-1980s)

The internet's precursor, ARPANET, was born in 1969 as a project of the United States Department of Defense's Advanced Research Projects Agency (ARPA). Developed by Vint Cerf and Bob Kahn, ARPANET aimed to create a network that would facilitate communication between government and academic researchers.

In the 1980s, the Internet Protocol (IP) was developed, allowing different networks to communicate with each other. This marked the beginning of the modern internet.
